The new Gender-Based Indigenous Intersectional Impact Assessment Network (GiiiA Network) is committed to advancing knowledge and promising practices related to culturally relevant Gender-Based Analysis (GBA) Plus in Impact Assessments (IA). This work, funded by the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, aims to support equitable and just decision-making processes and mitigate potential harms from resource development and extraction.

Who We Are

Purpose: Create and share knowledge across academic, non-profit, practitioners, governmental, and resource industry sectors to advance culturally relevant GBA Plus in IA. 

Members: IA practitioners, researchers, assessors, and culturally relevant GBA Plus practitioners

The Network is hosted by Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women (CRIAW), and jointly operated and publicized by CRIAW-ICREF and the Live Work Well Research Centre at the University of Guelph.
